IIW International Conference on Advances in Welding and Allied Technologies

In conjunction with the 62nd Annual Assembly of International Institute of Welding (IIW), the Singapore Welding Society (SWS) is proud to organize the international conference on Advances in Welding and Allied Technologies, on 16-17 July 2009. This conference is a major forum for the exchange of knowledge and provides opportunities to network and meet leading experts in the field.

Papers are invited on topics related to welding and allied technologies. Topics of interest include, but not limited to:

  • Brazing and Soldering
  • Computer aided welding engineering
  • Thermal cutting processes
  • Education & training
  • Health, safety and environment
  • Inspections & testing
  • Joining of polymer and ceramic materials
  • Surface engineering
  • Welding materials and their weldability
  • Welding processes
  • Welding robots and automation
  • Design, analysis and fabrication of welded structures

 

Instructions for Authors

Authors are invited to submit a 100-200 word abstract electronically online here.

  • Abstracts should be in English and not exceed 200 words.
  • Please type in Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman font, at size of 12 points.
  • Title: Type in capital letters, bold and not exceeding 70 characters. Leave a line between title and names of authors.
  • Authors: Use surname first, followed by initials in capital letters for the given names. Affiliations should come after the authors’ names.

Authors with accepted abstracts will be invited to submit full papers through the conference website.

Deadline for Abstract Submission: 31 December 2008
Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 01 February 2009
Deadline for Full Paper Submission: 01 April 2009
Registration at Early-bird rate: 30 April 2009

Note:

  • An acknowledgement will be sent within 24 hours upon receipt of the abstract.
  • If more than one abstract is submitted by the same author, please make sure that the name is exactly the same on each submission.
  • Registration for the Conference is COMPULSORY
